Blue Point Bayport Lions host National Make a Difference Day

for the Senior citizens of the Bayport-Blue Point community. The Blue Point Elementary

School Peer Leaders were instrumental in putting together this informational

event for our seniors in conjunction with the Suffolk County Dept. of Aging. They

provided updated info about new Medicare changes and when they were finished

they saw the film "Lavender" courtesy of the Library. The Peer Leaders have also

applied for a grant and if received it will enable them to host this event for our

seniors for years to come. Another highlight of their day was a  lunch fit for kings

that was catered by our local restaurants and deli's. The Bayport House,

Cavanaugh's Pub, Christopher's, The Fish Store, and the Fire House Deli all contributed

wonderful and delicious food for all. We thank them for their generosity. Click the photos

below to see the fun had by our seniors.....
